Cold, Cough, Positive Tests, and Isolation

If a student has a cold, a runny nose, or a cough, they are not required to attend class to avoid risking contamination of their teacher. The student must notify the teacher via email or text to arrange an alternative solution that works for everyone.

Lateness and Last-Minute Cancellations

If a student arrives late to their lesson or cancels at the last minute, on the same day, or within less than 48 hours, and the teacher is already committed or present at the scheduled time, L'OMCM will not issue a refund, and the student will forfeit the lesson. However, the teacher may choose to offer a make-up lesson during the session or when a spot becomes available in their schedule.

Cancellation procedure 48 hours or more

If a student is unable to attend their scheduled class due to medical or other reasons, they must notify OMCM and include the instructor's email in CC. This notification must be sent at least 48 hours or more before the scheduled class date. The instructor reserves the right to offer the student a maximum of two makeup classes during the session or whenever a slot becomes available in their schedule.

Make-Up Classes

If the student adheres to the 48-hour or more cancellation notice period, the teacher agrees to provide up to one makeup session before December 25 and a second one after June 7. It is the responsibility of the student and the responsible adult to inquire about the makeup date and confirm their availability with the teacher at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled session. Should the student miss the makeup session, no refund will be issued, and the opportunity for the session will be forfeited.

Public Holidays

Classes will be held on public holidays. The teacher reserves the right to reschedule the class if all students respect the 48-hour or more cancellation notice procedure and make-up class procedure. Payment Schedule and Late Payment

A payment schedule will be provided to you on the day of registration with L'OMCM. For any payment arrangements during the year, please contact the administrators of the L'OMCM. They reserve the right to deactivate the access card of any student with an overdue payment. Late payments will incur a $25 penalty. Please refer to the payment schedule at all times.

Termination of Music Lessons

If a student is enrolled but wishes to suspend music lessons for an indefinite period, a two-week notice is required. The student either completes the remaining lessons during this period or forfeits them. The responsible adult is obligated to pay for all completed lessons, including the two lessons covered by the notice period, as well as any non-refundable fees.

Free Practice time

At L'OMCM, students enrolled in music classes receive a complimentary weekly session of free practice time in one of the available studios. These sessions are non-transferable. Minor students must be accompanied by a responsible adult during their free practice time. Friends, siblings, cousins, uncles, aunts, or any other individuals wishing to accompany the student on-site will need to have a personal access card registered with the administrators of L'OMCM's studios.

Express Shop

At L'OMCM, students enrolled in music courses enjoy a discount on the regular pre-tax price for purchases made at the express shop @ OMCM. These items include everyday accessories, musical instruments, and teaching materials used by instructors during lessons. If a student and their parent come across a product listed by a major supplier in Montreal, they can request it directly through L'OMCM express shop. Purchases can be made in person at 996 Notre-Dame Street, Lachine. Delivery times range from 2 to 7 business days, depending on product availability with suppliers. Cleanliness of the Premises

All members of L'OMCM are accountable for any damage they cause. Everyone is expected to contribute to maintaining the cleanliness of the premises and preserving them in optimal condition. Waste should be disposed of in the waiting room trash bin, and any compostable items generating odors, such as banana peels, should either be taken home or discarded in the outdoor trash bin in front of the building. Consuming sugary drinks or eating inside the studios is strictly prohibited. The only exception allowed is a water bottle.

Personal access key

A refundable $10 deposit is required for the personal access key, which is necessary for entering and moving around at L'OMCM. If you decide to stop using the studios at L'OMCM, the $10 deposit will be refunded upon returning your access card in good condition.

Non-Refundable Annual Fees

The access card will be non-refundable if damaged. In case of loss, a new card will be issued for a fee of $10.
